Bio
My name is Rebecca Brooks and this is year 10 of being a 2nd grade teacher at PCES for me. I have been married to my husband, Danny, for 22 years and we have made our home in Brundidge. We have four children together, ages 20, 19, 16, and 14. I graduated from Luverne High School in 1997 and received my Bachelors in Business and Information Systems from Troy University in 2001. Years later I decided to go back to school and received my Masters in Education in 2013. During the 2021-2022 school year I had the honor to be selected as PCES Teacher of the Year and also Pike County Schools systems Elementary Teacher of the Year.
I truly believe that every child has the capability to learn and succeed in life. Not all my students will come from the best background or have the encouragement they need at home, but I believe that showing them love, compassion, and understanding at school can help them to have a chance to succeed in the world. I am so thankful for the opportunities that have come my way and I look forward to the chance to share my passion for education and learning with my students.
